A manhunt is underway for a brazen thief who broke into a butcher shop and cooked himself a feast with meat worth hundreds of dollars.

The man spent just under two hours preparing and cooking various cuts of meat, before giving the store a quick clean and letting himself out.

Store manager Scott Little told Daily Mail Australia he opened the shop on the morning of Easter Monday to find 'a hell of a mess'.
