Italian TV host Paola Ferrari has insisted she was wearing underwear during Italy's Euro 2020 television coverage after footage appearing to show her accidentally flash viewers went viral.

The presenter had denied claims she was commando during the live football coverage after social media users thought otherwise after she uncrossed her legs.

Ferrari has since been compared to Sharon Stone in the 1991 film Basic Instinct, which includes a scene where the actress uncrosses her legs during an interrogation to reveal she is not wearing underwear.

Since the footage went viral, the TV host joked that it has had more replays than the Euro 2020 matches.
