The quartet was standing on the sand with Mr Lacey about to jump into the shallow water to go snorkeling when he saw the shark.

'We were just about to go for a snorkel and this big fella rolled in', Mr Lacey posted alongside the incredible footage.

Affectionately known as 'ocean girl', Mr Lacey's 6 year old girl, Eva, is heard to shout, 'It's a shark! It's a hammerhead shark!'

Wife and Mum Gemma Lacey, 25, was clearly shocked and is overheard saying: 'Oh my god, look!'.
