Seventeen-year-old tennis sensation Coco Gauff was eliminated from Wimbledon in two sets by Germany's Angelique Kerber on Monday, leaving the tournament without any American women remaining in the singles draw.

Although the 20th-ranked Gauff nearly took each of the first two sets, she was no match for Keber's serve during the 4-6, 4-6 defeat. The 25th-ranked Kerber won 67 percent of the points off her first serve and a remarkable 69 percent off her second compared to just 57 and 56 percent for Gauff, respectively.

Gauff was making her first appearance in the fourth round at Wimbledon after beating Francesca Jones, Elena Vesnina, and Kaja Juvan, all in straight sets, over the first three rounds.
