One of Australia's richest couples is set to expand one of their luxury country resorts into a major eco-tourism and camping site that will sleep almost 300 holidaymakers.

Jude Turner and her Flight Centre boss husband Graham 'Skroo' Turner have been granted approval for their new site dubbed Bubbling Springs after submitting an application to the Ipswich City Council in 2017.

The site will cover over 1,000 hectares in Grandchester in the Queensland city of Ipswich and will be an extension of the couple's Spicers Hidden Vale retreat.

The tourist hub will include grass tents, glamping sites, seven caravan sites and an extension to the mountain bike and running trails already established, the Courier Mail reported.
