Frank Kansco, 35, was found unresponsive in the landing area of Sky's the Limit Skydiving Center in East Stroudsburg, where he worked, at about 2:30 p.m. on Monday, police said. The Staten Island native was taken by helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, where he later died. An autopsy is due to be conducted on Wednesday to determine Kansco's cause of death, authorities said. The incident is being investigated by Pennsylvania State Police and the FAA. Kansco was an experienced skydiver who had completed thousands of jumps, according to police. His parents said he had been working as a coach and videographer at Sky's the Limit for about five years. 'That was his thing: living for excitement,' his father said. He had wracked up his fair share of injuries, including a broken neck sustained in a car accident, but always recovered and returned to his hobbies, his mother said. 'He was like a cat with nine lives,' she added. Kansco was a member of Ironworkers Local 40 and contributed to the construction of the Freedom Tower in Lower Manhattan, his parents said. Kansco's death is the second skydiving fatality in eastern Pennsylvania in recent months. In April, 74-year-old Edward Harney died after his parachute somehow separated from him during a 14,000-foot jump.
