A western Indiana police officer was fatally shot Wednesday outside a federal office building behind the Vigo County Courthouse, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 2 p.m. outside an FBI office, according to WTHI-TV.
The officer worked for the Terre Haute Police Department but was assigned to a Federal Task Force, WISH-TV reporter Demie Johnson tweeted.
