Furious students have launched a petition calling for their school to abolish its new 'smart' dress code, claiming the formal wear 'infringes on their freedom.'
More than 300 people have signed a desperate plea for Brakenhale School in Berkshire to abandon its updated Sixth Form uniform policy.
New rules tell A-level students to don their own 'formal wear,' including chinos, shirts, ties, blazers and jumpers, from the start of the school year in September.
The school also suggests low heels and boat shoes, while only allowing 'natural hair colours' and 'simple piercings' for pupils while at Sixth Form.
Pupils aged 16 to 18 will not be permitted to wear 'unsuitable' items such as hoodies, sweatshirts, jeans, jogging bottoms, activewear, leggings and trainers.
