Beau Ryan has revealed his UFC fighter friend who contracted Covid-19 is still struggling with respiratory problems months after he contracted the virus.
The TV personality and former NRL player appeared on Studio 10 on Monday to reveal the devastating toll the virus continued to have on Alex Volkanovski, 32, since he fell ill in March.
'He is the fittest person I know,' Ryan said. 'He was crippled with the Delta Strain.'
'He still has had respiratory problems, and he is the fittest guy I know. That's the Delta strain, so we can't take this lightly.'

The NSW-born Featherweight champion had flown to Las Vegas ahead of a bout with Mexican-American opponent Brian Ortega.
Volkanovski contracted the highly-contagious strain of Covid-19 and was forced to call off the match.
His headaches, fevers and respiratory symptoms worsened and he was hospitalised twice where his heart rate plummeted to a dangerous low of 35
