A comedian has poked fun at the new 'no browsing' rule for residents leaving their house to go shopping during Sydney's lockdown

Jon-Bernard Kairouz posted a video to TikTok on Friday after NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian asked that residents 'do not browse' while shopping.

The comedian is seen sprinting into the Clemton Park Coles and grabbing a trolley, before pushing it through the aisles at a breakneck speed.

At one point in the skit Mr Kairouz slides across the ground to grab a bag of dog food in an effort to shave a couple seconds off the trip.

The comedian hardly pauses as he uses one arm to knock several bags of toilet paper into his trolley, before taking off again as fast as he can.

Locked-down residents were quick to share their thoughts in the viral video's comment section.

'You didn't browse at all bro, you must be exhausted,' one person replied, to which the comedian replied 'I'm buggered'.

'So panic shopping is allowed then?' another joked.

'Felt guilty as I walked through the chocolate aisle at Woolies today, stood there for about two minutes but still felt like I was a criminal on death row,' a third shared.

The 'no browsing' reminder was part of a string of new restrictions that came into effect on Friday and enforced at 5pm.

She said that only under 'exceptional circumstances' or health reasons, should more than one household member leave home.

'Browsing is not allowed,' the premier said during a press conference.

'Browsing, killing time, is not a good enough reason to leave your house,' she reminded the millions of bored Australians currently in lockdown.

The premier said residents should ask themselves if their shopping could be done online and if the trip out of home was completely necessary.
