The special House committee investigating the January 6th MAGA riot on the Capitol will hold its first hearing on Tuesday, July 27. 

The House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol will hear from Capitol Police officers on duty that day. The names of the officers testifying have not been released. 

Speaker Nancy Pelosi named eight lawmakers to the panel in early July, including Chairman Bennie Thompson and GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, who was one of 10 Republicans to vote for the second impeachment of Donald Trump for his role in instigating the riot.

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has yet to name any Republicans to the panel.
