Chris Eubank today paid tribute to his son boxer son Sebastian after the family held a funeral for him in Dubai following his death aged 29 from a heart attack.

Sebastian, who was the third eldest of Eubank's five children and a light-heavyweight boxer, is believed to have drowned off a beach in the city while swimming.

And Eubank said today that Sebastian, who was found dead just one month after becoming a father, 'left a legacy that his son will be proud of'.

The 54-year-old boxing legend added that the family were 'overwhelmed and profoundly grateful for the love and support we continue to receive'.

Sebastian, who also went by the name Alka Lion, lived in Dubai with his wife Salma and newborn son Raheem, and worked as a personal trainer.

Dubai and the United Arab Emirates are currently on the UK's 'red list', meaning anyone returning to Britain from there must pay to quarantine in a government-approved hotel for ten days.

It comes as the Eubank family are all now set to go for medical check-ups amid fears that Christopher's heart defect is hereditary, according to The Sun.

A source told the newspaper: 'The family are in mourning. But amid the raw grief they are aware of the health issues.

'It is responsible for their loved ones for Chris and his family to have heart check-ups.
