A Primark store transformed its changing rooms into a ‘grab a jab’ clinic yesterday in a bid to reverse a slowdown in vaccination among young people.

Pop-up centres were opened in shops, parks and stadiums across the country to encourage young people to get the Covid vaccine as health chiefs expressed concerns about jab hesitancy.

Primark converted the changing areas at its store in Bristol’s Broadmead shopping centre into a walk-in vaccination centre, attracting more than 100 people.

Laura Simpkins, one of those who received their first dose, urged others to follow suit, saying: ‘They made me feel so at ease and I recommend everyone to get it. ‘I know you’re nervous but it’s a piece of cake.’
