Sports stars are capable of blocking out all the noise at the most crucial moments, and Collin Morikawa has revealed how he was almost derailed by a fart noise on the final tee at The Open

Morikawa, 24, put in a near flawless 72 holes of golf to lift his second major at Sandwich last Sunday, holding off challenges from Jordan Spieth and Louis Oosthuizen to triumph in Kent.

Heading into the final hole, the American held a two-stroke lead over Spieth, knowing that anything other than a spectacular capitulation would result in him winning the Claret Jug.
