Earlier this month, a majority of Democrats in the Texas House traveled to Washington, D.C., in order to stall Republicans from passing a restrictive voting bill.
They arrived in D.C. on July 12.
Republican opponents hammered them for flying in a private jet - and carrying along a case of Miller Lite.
They've also been criticized for receiving a $221-a-day per diem, which they're supposed to receive while the Texas House is in session.
The group checked into the Washington Plaza Hotel off of Thomas Circle in D.C. - an
