Sen. Ted Cruz joined a number of other Republican voices in mocking the runaway Texas Democrats after a group of Dallas-based Democrats offered to send them care packages. 

'No Miller Lite?' the Texas Republican asked, highlighting the plea. 

The Dallas Democrats had tweeted, 'Our Dems in DC said they'd appreciate care packages from home.'

Earlier this month, a majority of Democrats in the Texas House traveled to Washington, D.C., in order to stall Republicans from passing a restrictive voting bill. 

They arrived in D.C. on July 12.  

Republican opponents hammered them for flying in a private jet - and carrying along a case of Miller Lite.  

They've also been criticized for receiving a $221-a-day per diem, which they're supposed to receive while the Texas House is in session.
