A 10-year-old girl was killed on Monday after a four-inch rock crashed through the windshield of her father's truck and struck her in the head.
Kambrie Horsley, of Idaho, was sitting in the passenger's seat when a semi-truck driving nearby dislodged the rock from the roadway, causing it to hit the Horsley family's vehicle.
Kambrie's father, Brad Horsley, immediately drove the 10-year-old to the county hospital for treatment.
According to the Idaho State Journal, the girl was life-flighted to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah where she died from her injuries.
Local authorities tracked down the semi driver who said he was unaware that his truck sent a rock flying at the Horsley's vehicle.
