A NSW man who told his girlfriend she had 'really done it this time' has said he doesn't know why he wrote a series of abusive messages after he kicked her and hurled a glass toward her back.
Police have alleged Jai Koby Zachariah Mcghee from Narromine, a small town 40 kilometres west of Dubbo, had an argument with the woman in his car on July 25.
The 22-year-old told the woman to get out of the vehicle, and after she obliged, followed her inside and kicked her in the knee.
Court documents allege he lashed out at the woman because she took another family member from the car with her, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Later the same day while Mcghee was drinking rum in the lounge room of a home, he began to tell the woman 'how much he hated her and that he was sick of her'.
He continued to berate the woman and demanded she leave the home while threatening to throw his drink at her.
As the woman got up to leave, police allege Mcghee threw a glass cup at her back.
A roommate at the home was forced to get involved after the 22-year-old tried to follow the woman into a separate area of the house.
'I hate you, I really want to hurt you,' Mcghee told her.
