Qantas has cancelled eight flights from Perth after a FIFO worker tested positive to coronavirus after returning from a mine site.

The flights cancelled in the morning of August 5 were taking FIFO workers to mine sites in northwest Western Australia.

Qantas said the cancellations were due to flight crews being forced into isolation, leaving the airline short staffed.
