Joe Biden's top health official said in a Wednesday interview that it's highly likely children under 12 will be approved to get vaccinated against coronavirus during this upcoming school year.

'What are the odds that a vaccine for kids under 12 will be approved during the next school year?' Surgeon General Vivek Murthy was asked as part of the 'Skimm This' podcast, which will air Thursday.

'I think the odds are high,' he responded, but did not expand as it was part of the lightning round of questioning.
