The man, 26, from Point Cook, suffered only minor injuries in Sunday evening's spectacular crash on Geelong Road, near Footscray Cemetery in Yarraville. But his 2018 black Mustang - costing up to $130,000 - was left a molten mass of twisted metal after it erupted in flames and burnt out in the shocking smash. A V8 10-speed 336kW Mustang can accelerate from a standstill to 100km/h in just 4.3 seconds and has a restricted top speed of 250km/h.
