A  chance meeting at a rodeo led to an ex becoming so obsessed with her former boyfriend that she stalked him and his wife for five months, making them fear for their safety.

Roslyn Ann Allen, 53, grew so infatuated with her ex, that after chatting briefly with him in early 2021 she called him 15 times and left 40 messages for his wife, Biloela Magistrates Court was told.

The court also heard Allen phoned the wife at work and drove slowly past her home.

Allen and the man had dated in their youth and she claimed they had an affair for six months in 2020.

She described the situation to her solicitor as 'a love triangle gone wrong', the court heard.
