A koala who was found clinging to life during Australia's worst bushfire season has been spotted in the wild with her new joey. 

The new mother, Ember, was released back into the NSW bush in April 2020 and was spotted more recently with her bundle of joy by the same woman who rescued her: Former president of Friends of the Koala, Roslyn Irwin.

Ember was found in November 2019 in the burnt grounds of Whiporie in northern NSW.
