A measles case has been detected during a 'robust health screening process' of the nearly 9,000 Afghan evacuees coming into a Wisconsin Army base.
Everyone who was in contact with the infected person at Fort McCoy 'has been isolated, and post-exposure prophylaxis and inoculations are in process,' an internal government email viewed by Fox News said.
But the measles is a 'highly contagious' virus that The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) says can affect 90 percent of people who were in close proximity to the infected person and are not immune.
