A rising NRL star was left caked in blood and required stitches after an end of season bonding session turned sour.
Brisbane Broncos forwards Tom Flegler, 22, and Jordan Riki, 21, were said to be playfully wrestling, before the antics turned a notch last Wednesday night, leaving Riki fuming.
The Courier Mail reported Flegler took exception to Riki's brash demeanour, as the situation threatened to rapidly escalate in the Sunshine State.
'We were out last Wednesday night and got in a wrestle that went a little wrong and Jordan ended up with a cut above his eye,' Flegler said.
'We went our separate ways that night and I gave him a call the next day to sort it out. It was silly and I apologised.'
