A customer has slammed a Toby Carvery roast delivered to her home by Just Eat, claiming it turned up looking like 'a dog's dinner'.

Nicki White, 26, was left disappointed after ordering the  Sunday lunch from the carvery chain's branch in Ramsgate, Kent.

She complained to the restaurant over receiving a few measly dried pieces of meat and undercooked vegetables, saying it was the 'worst roast she has ever eaten'.

Ms White added that despite Toby's being one of her favourite trips, especially at Christmas, she will now never go there again.

The chain confirmed it is investigating the complaint and has apologised to Ms White, offering her a free meal as compensation.

Ms White said: 'It was undercooked, the portion was small, it was just unsatisfactory. Putting it simply, it was the worst roast I have ever eaten.

'I would normally go to the restaurant, but because I wasn't feeling well my daughter wanted a roast so I thought I would give it a go.

'Never again.'

Ms White had posted images of her dinner to Facebook. She paid £17 for one adult portion and one child portion on Sunday, September 12.
