A TikToker with a 'sophisticated' sense of humour has taken a subtle jab at anti-vaxxers by suggesting a 'safe, new way' to gain immunity from Covid-19 naturally.

Mustafa Dhahir, 24, who studies medicine and works as a pharmacist in Sydney, said he has come up with the 'perfect solution' to end the controversial debate.

The only problem with his video was that many vaccine-sceptics didn't realise they were actually being mocked.

'I suggest a compromise – those who are pro-vaccine want to use the vaccine to gain immunity from the virus,' Dhahir says in the viral clip.

'[And] those who are anti-vax want to get exposed to the virus so they can gain immunity naturally.'

He suggests it's possible to meet 'somewhere in the middle', before explaining the process of how vaccination works.

'Why don't we just expose people to a weakened version of the virus or just pieces of the virus so that people can naturally get immunity without all the risks of being exposed to the full virus,' Dhahir said.

He goes on to say that such a process was actually first achieved in the 1700s by Edward Jenner, otherwise known as the father of immunology.
