Scarlett Bareham, 20, appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court to deny attacking the man by touching his bottom in front of his girlfriend while out with friends. She and fellow defendant Fiona Hoyle, 19, had been clubbing in the Guildhall Walk area of Portsmouth, Hants, late last summer, which is home to a number of nightclubs. Bareham allegedly slapped the man’s buttocks before a fight is said to have broken out involving Hoyle, Bareham and another woman who is believed to be the man’s girlfriend. Scarlett Bareham, 20, denies sexual assault through slapping a man's bottom Scarlett Bareham leaving Portsmouth Crown Court today after pleading not guilty to attack CCTV footage of the incident, which took place on August 5 2020, will be shown to jurors during a trial which is due to take place next year. Bareham, who is understood to be a trained beauty and massage therapist from Havant, Hants, is charged with sexual assault and affray. Today she pleaded not guilty to both charges at Portsmouth Crown Court. She attended wearing a black blouse, trousers and heels. Hannah Phillips, 20, was also accused but earlier accepted conditional caution over incident Hoyle, dressed smartly in a black blazer and black trousers, pleaded not guilty to affray. Both women wore their hair hair tied back in buns and spoke only to give their names, dates of birth and register their pleas. Hannah Phillips, 20, who had initially been accused of sexual assault for slapping the man’s bottom walked free last month after she accepted a conditional caution for the incident. Hoyle, of Southsea, Hants, and Bareham are on unconditional bail and will go on trial on March 7 next year at Portsmouth Crown Court.
