Bec Rodriguez and her husband Adrian celebrated tying the knot at Brisbane venue Lightspace in early September in front family and friends. But days later after a friend asked them about something they'd written on a card left in the couple's wishing well they realised some gifts were missing. The footage released by the venue revealed the culprit - a security guard stationed at the back of the reception is shown walking over the the table holding the gifts. At first just peeking at the couple's wishing well where guests had left cards and cash he then walks back and snatches a handful of envelopes before sneaking off. 'It's just the audacity of this guy, who we've hired to secure our stuff, and he's actually stolen it, It's quite disgusting, to be honest,' Ms Rodriguez told 7 News. The amount of cash the security guard pinched is estimated at $1050 - in addition to the sentimental cards letters from guests. 'To call my guests saying, ''did you take something out of my wishing well?'... It's not something you should be dealing with a week after your wedding,' she added. Both the venue and the firm, which hired the security guard, then told the couple to go to police - which they did and now an investigation has commenced. CCTV shows a security guard raiding the Mr and Ms Rodriguez's wishing well 'We can't provide comment [because of the] police investigation but we empathise with the couple ... and will provided any assistance necessary and continue to cooperate,' Lightspace said in a statement. As well as Ms Rodriguez being a world champion boxer and having previously fought in the UFC her husband Adrian is also a professional boxer with a 14-win, two-draw, four-loss record. Ms Rodriguez said many of her guests who she explained the situation to joked the alleged thief might have thought twice if they knew who they were stealing from.
