A crazed Colorado contractor took a sledgehammer to the tiles and walls of a bathroom he had just finished remodeling because of a payment dispute with the homeowner, a video shot by the client's neighbor shows.

Terry Gregory of Dream Home Remodels can be seen swinging the giant sledgehammer, knocking the new tiling and installations from the shower's walls, while bellowing between bouts of demolition.

'We put weeks into this, thousands of dollars into this,' Gregory raged over the lack of final payment by Amber Trucke of Colorado Springs.

Trucke's neighbor asks Gregory repeatedly to cut it out: 'I'm just asking you to stop - this is not your house to destroy.'

'Is somebody going to pay me,' Gregory yelled back before he resumes the destruction.

'Let me tell you something,' he said to the neighbor, out of breath and gesturing with a sawzall, before he and his wife and business partner Jordan Cazares leave the house. 'No contractor in the state of Colorado will fix that when they found out I took it back because you refused to pay me. No one.’

Trucke said she paid the two contractors $3,330 of an owed $7,555, according to invoices she posted to her Facebook account.

Cazares sent Trucke a Facebook Pay request for the remainder on Friday morning, according to conversations with Trucke posted on Facebook.

She told the homeowner that she had until that evening to pay up.

Initially, Trucke asked to return from work, see the finished product, get receipts proving that the contractors had ordered a yet-uninstalled shower door and ensure that water would flow properly through the newly-installed plumbing before paying.

Around 9.30 am on Saturday, 23 hours after the contractor demanded payment, Cazares and Gregory came back to Trucke's apartment while she was at work, demolition equipment in hand.

'That's it. 23 hours,' Trucke wrote on Facebook. [Because] I didn't pay in 23 hours (there is NO statement from me in writing or otherwise to them that I wasn't going to pay) they showed up like thugs and destroyed my property.'

¿I¿m more than happy to deal with the place,' Gregory muttered in the video. 'More than happy. More than happy. More than happy.'

Gregory can be seen flashing a middle finger to Trucke's doorbell camera as he walks up her driveway.

The unidentified neighbor rushed to the house and began filming after she saw the contractors' truck pull up asked the pair whether Trucke was expecting anyone.

'This is my property, I have receipts for everything,' Gregory said.

‘That’s not taking back your stuff, that's...' the neighbor trails off, rendered speechless.

'It is our stuff, this is how we need to take it back because we solidly built it construction unfortunately so it won’t just fall off,' replies Cazares.

Gregory takes a break from the demolition to lean up against the doorframe and address the neighbor.

‘I’m more than happy to deal with the place,' he said

'More than happy. More than happy. More than happy,' he muttered.

Since the footage circulated online, Dream Homes Remodeling of Colorado has taken down its Facebook page and website.
