Police accused an Aboriginal man of faking an illness when he collapsed moments before he died as they arrested him.
Officers arrived at Paul Reid's home in Parafield Gardens, in Adelaide's northern suburbs, in May 2017, after reports of a domestic incident.
The 50-year-old father-of-10 collapsed soon after being arrested and never regained consciousness.
Now shocking audio recordings released as part of an inquest into his death reveal a cop radioed a colleague to claim Mr Reid had started feigning a 'medical episode' after being handcuffed.
