A sex offender who evaded police by hiding under his floorboards has been jailed for more than two years.
Leslie Robinson, 25, was arrested in September last year for breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) after spending time with two young teenage girls, breaking a ban on contact with children under 16.
Both were unaware that he had previously been imprisoned for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and that he had been slapped with a permanent SHPO.
But despite breaching the order in July, he managed to 'remain free for some time' after his sister and housemate, Stacey Robinson, 32, helped hide him in the cubby hole underneath the downstairs toilet, which was covered by a bath mat.
When police came to the property searching for him, the sister said she was living alone.
