Argentina's national team coach Mario Ledesma has let fly at at rugby bosses after his team was brutally snubbed at a photocall that ignored his side.

Captains from Australia's Wallabies, New Zealand's All Blacks and South Africa's Springboks fronted cameras to hail the start of The Rugby Championship.

A social media video of the event released by the All Blacks - showing the skippers relaxed and chatting - was hailed as a role model example for sport.

Wallabies skipper Michael Hooper, All Blacks' Ardie Savea and Springboks captain Siya Kolisi all turned out for the beachside photoshoot.

But while the three posed with the trophy, the Argentinian side - nicknamed the Pumas - was nowhere to be seen for the launch of the four nation tournament.

The championship kicked off on Saturday night in Townsville, Queensland, with a thumping 27-8 win for Australia over Argentina.

In the wake of the game, the Pumas coach used the post-match press conference to kick callous rugby bosses into touch.

'I just want to make a point about what happened this week with the captain's photo,' said Ledesma. 'The boys and the staff, we felt really disrespected.

'Everyone is joking and having a good time. Our captain is not there. ... and nobody said anything.

'How do you think we feel about that?  How would you feel if Australia was treated that way?'

'A little common sense and say "Guys, we are four teams over here, we cannot make a picture and a video with one captain missing."
