Footage of an armed robbery in Sydney's west shows the two offenders warning an elderly gentleman not to enter a tobacconist moments before they threatened staff with a tomahawk and machete then raided the store.
CCTV vision released by police as part of an investigation into the crime shows the two men approaching the Bulolo Drive shop, in Whalan, about 5.30pm on August 2.
As they reach the door, they both pull one of their gloved hands out of their pockets and signal to an older man making his way towards the entrance to stop and turn around.
Upon realising the warning, the bystander backs away and walks off into a neighbouring store as the two men
