A 12-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car as he crossed a dual carriageway.
The youngster was left in a critical condition after the incident happened opposite a McDonalds on the A405 North Orbital Road in Watford.
Police are trying to find witnesses after the boy was hit by a blue Honda Civic as he crossed the carriageway on Friday just before 3pm, reports The Watford Observer.
