A 40-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a mother-of-four in west London over the weekend.
Jason Bell was arrested on suspicion of stabbing to death his girlfriend Nicole Hurley, 37, in a flat in Primrose Hill at around 1am on Sunday.
He was also charged with false imprisonment in relation to a third party, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and driving whilst disqualified and with no insurance.
The killing marks the 14th woman to be slain in London since the landmark death of Sarah Everard in March.
It will pile yet more pressure on Met chief Cressida Dick and Mayor Sadiq Khan to tackle spiralling violence against women in the capital.
Police were called to the flat on Broxwood Way in upmarket Primrose Hill in the early hours of Sunday.
They found Ms Hurley with multiple stab wounds and she died at the scene despite paramedics treating her.
