Melissa Caddick: Anthony Koletti reveals what he REALLY thinks about her ...

The hairdresser husband of notorious Sydney fraudster Melissa Caddick has revealed she is 'not the kind of person who is going to chop off her foot and go AWOL'.

Notoriously private Anthony Koletti made his first ever public remarks about one of the leading conspiracy theories about the swindler who vanished from her Dover Heights mansion hours ahead of being exposed as having ripped off her 72 clients to the tune of $30million.

Mr Koletti's remarks - broadcast in a promo for a Channel Seven documentary - came as Daily Mail Australia confronted the notoriously private figure on the streets of XXXXX and demanded answers about whether he was paid

The hairdresser husband of notorious Sydney fraudster Melissa Caddick has promised 'new evidence' about her disappearance will be revealed in a blockbuster television interview on Sunday.

Anthony Koletti looks straight into the camera in a promo for the show and says 'This is the real story about what happened to Melissa Caddick.'

Part of that story is his response to the claim that she 'chopped off her foot'.

Ms Caddick, a 49-year-old financial advisor,  vanished from her Dover Heights home, in Sydney's eastern suburbs, almost a year ago after pocketing millions from investors over the course of about eight years.

Mr Koletti was bombarded with questions on Wednesday when he left his $6.2million mansion to get a takeaway coffee in the Sydney suburb of Bondi.

With his interview set to air on Channel 7 at the weekend, a photographer questioned Mr Koletti about what 'truth' is going to come out and if he was paid by the TV station.

But the former DJ stays unusually quiet, despite earlier being seen talking to police detectives.

Mr Koletti, who famously said last Christmas that he had just $1.95 in his bank account, still lives in his wife's $6.2million mansion almost a year after she vanished owing $30million to 72 defrauded clients, including family and friends.

He tells the Channel 7 program that his wife's disappearance on November 12 last year left him shocked to the core.

'I felt it like a lighting bolt through my heart,' he says.

Ms Caddick's foot was discovered in a running shoe on a remote beach on the NSW South Coast on February 21, but no further remains have been found.

At the time, the NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said authorities were still unable to say whether she killed herself or if there was foul play involved.

He also raised the outlandish possibility Ms Caddick could have severed her own foot to throw police off the scent - and that she could still be alive.

There's always a chance she cut her foot off and is still alive, though it's pretty fanciful,'
