A staffer in NSW Premier Dom Perrottet's office has been hauled over the coals after he fired off a tone-deaf reply to a concerned female voter's email.

Adam Foda, also apparently known as Adam Fargo, sent an abrasive email to NSW resident Susan Eaton when she questioned the rookie premier's photo call in a pub.

Ms Eaton said the pictures of a group of men standing and drinking at the bar sent the wrong message, and asked him to use his position to change the image of the state in future.

But she was stunned by the reply she received three hours later from the staffer in the Premier's Epping electoral office in Sydney's north-west.

The Project TV host Lisa WIlkinson (pictured) was forwarded the email exchange and blasted the reply on Twitter

'There is no need to bring in Mr Perrottet's gender into this - in fact, it is rather inappropriate,' said Mr Foda's brief and blunt passive-aggressive email.

'I thought in 2021 we would have moved beyond such things.'

Of course, the women are at home, working, home schooling & doing the housework.

Dominic Perrottet, you have the opportunity to change some of these
