The mother of a 16-year-old boy who was allegedly violently bashed in a 'postcode war' attack over a pair of stolen headphones has issued a desperate plea over his death.

Jason Galleghan, 16, was found unresponsive with head and chest injuries at a house in Doonside, western Sydney on August 4 - with CCTV showing a number of people leaving the house about an hour earlier.

Paramedics managed to revive Jason at the scene with a shot of adrenaline before he was rushed to Westmead Hospital, where he later died three days later.

Five teens, along with a woman, 19 and man, 29, have been charged over their alleged roles in the incident and are currently before the courts.

Two months on, Jason's mother Rachel Galleghan has broken her silence to thank the community and police for the outpouring of support she's received and make a plea to see 'justice served'.

'This is still something that I can't believe has happened, I'm still coming to terms with the fact that I will never see my precious son Jason again, and that his life was taken at the age of 16,' Ms Galleghan said.

'Jason was such a kind person with a happy spirit; he was loving and generous and helpful to his sisters and to his family and friends.

'It is just so utterly devastating and heartbreaking that his future has been taken away from him.

'We have all lost the biggest part of us that can never be replaced, and I would like to ask that the community please continue their support to fight for Jason so that justice is served.'

Investigators have released fresh CCTV footage as police  inquiries into Jason's death continue.

The CCTV shows two males walking in the vicinity of the Perigee Close home around the time the alleged assault occurred.

Police believe the pair may hold vital information about the events leading up to Jason's death.

'Strike Force Brens detectives have worked tirelessly to investigate the alleged murder of Jason and will continue to follow all lines of inquiry relating to this matter – leaving no stone unturned,' Blacktown Superintendent Steve Egginton said.

'At this point in the investigation, police are particularly interested in speaking with two individuals who may have been walking in the vicinity of the home on Perigee Close, Doonside, around the time of the fatal attack.'

The first man captured on CCTV is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance and is seen wearing a black hooded-jumper, black long pants, white sneakers and carrying a drink bottle.

Jason was allegedly lured to the Doonside home on the promise of a party, court documents said.

A possible motive for the alleged bashing is understood to be a pair of stolen airpods and ongoing conflict over gangs from different postcodes in Western Sydney.
