A wasp has been caught battling an incredibly large spider on an outdoor area of a property as the insect tried to catch its prey.
A Reddit user posted a video on Tuesday evening after they saw the pair become entangled on the wooden deck of their house.
The footage showed the wasp grab hold of the huntsman spider as the insect and arachnid pushed back and forth during the beginning of the clash.
The spider and wasp came to a standstill after several seconds when the wasp backed off and crawled along the deck.
However, it was not too long until the wasp chose to attack the giant spider again, which the person who captured the video said was the size of their palm.
The wasp managed to drag the spider along the wooden flooring for a fair distance as it reached closer to the edge of the outdoor deck.

The video concluded as the strong insect tried one more attempt at seizing its prey.
The Reddit user noted that the wasp was quite large and powerful as it was a spider wasp.
They are known to prey on spiders and drag them into their hole in the ground to feed their larvae and lay their eggs in the spiders’ abdomen.
Many users of the popular social media discussion website were amazed by the wasp’s strength and size, while one even sympathised with the arachnid.
