The figures announced on Thursday come almost two weeks after the state was lifted from lockdown. Vaccination rates continue to rise with 82.3 per cent of the state's population aged over-16 now fully vaccinated while 92.5per cent have had at least one jab. While NSW recorded almost 100 more cases than 24 hours earlier, the number of cases being treated hospitalised dropped from 552 to 523. Around 124 cases in hospital remain in intensive care. NSW also recorded two overseas acquired cases from returned travellers in quarantine while 86.235 residents came forward for testing.
