A conservative YouTube host is under fire after describing a Bay Area TV reporter as having an 'aggressively Asian face'.

Steven Crowder, who heads the political podcast and YouTube channel Louder With Crowder, made the racist comments during a segment on his show Wednesday when talking about how San Francisco's only In-N-Out location closed after failing to check customers' vaccination cards.

'Let me just let them tell you the story,' Crowder said before showing a clip of the KPIX news segment featuring reporter Betty Yu.

Crowder immediately remarked: 'Oh, that is an aggressively Asian face.'

'It is a - I mean that just means if you were a skier it would be like a black diamond you'd have to drop in on a chopper,' he added.

Co-host Dave Landau can be heard in the background saying 'easy' and then joking: 'Where's Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz?'

The joke references the two white actresses in the Charlie's Angels film, which also starred Lucy Liu.

Crowder tried to redeem his prejudiced comments, saying, 'By the way, the reason I say this is because usually with the reporters, like, they're kind of Americanized Asians.

'So that's a good thing. It's culture... It's full Asian.'

'Yeah, yeah, no. It's culture,' another co-host Gerald Morgan said in the background.

'I wish she would have kept her fan,' Landau chimed in, referring to geishas, which are traditionally Japanese women trained in entertaining guests with dance, music and conversation during tea ceremonies.
