Watch out Justin Hemmes and Stu Laundy, there's a new playboy pub baron in town - and he's got a model girlfriend to match.

Former high-flying banker Jon Adgemis has turned his attention to pouring beers - and is out to give Sydney's gaggle of pub tsars a run for their money.

In the past year alone Adgemis's Jaga Group has splashed out more than $50 million on pubs including The Town Hall in Balmain, The Kurrajong in Erskineville, The Exchange in Darlinghurst and The Camelia Grove in Alexandria.

The suave dealmaker is intent on building an empire to compete with giants Merivale, Laundy Hotels and Iris Capital.

While better known in social circles as the former boyfriend of model Cheyenne Tozzi, Adgemis is the former head of mergers and acquisitions at accounting giant KPMG.
