The Western Australian premier was celebrating the nuptials at the Vasto Club in the northern Perth suburb of Balcatta about 6.30pm on Saturday, when he was abruptly ushered out of the reception and into a car.
The 54-year-old was swiftly driven across the city back to his home in the southern suburb of Rockingham which remains under a heavy police guard.
