Shocking video has emerged of a FreeNow driver being attacked by a hooded gang during an alleged gunpoint robbery in London.

Dash-cam footage shows the four-strong group getting into the private hire vehicle before launching an attack on the driver after a row over the number of passengers.

One member of the group is seen in the video punching the driver in the face while another grabs at him and pulls him out of the car.

Moments later a member of the gang is seen jumping into the front seat of the vehicle, before the video ends.

Police say three teenagers have been charged with robbery following the incident, which took place n the Ladbroke Grove area of west London on Sunday, October 17.

FreeNow is a German ride hailing app aiming to challenge Uber.

It was launched in 2019 as joint venture between BMW and Daimler Mobility.
