Dash-cam footage shows the four-strong group getting into the private hire vehicle before launching an attack on the driver after a row over the number of passengers. One member of the group is seen in the video punching the driver in the face while another grabs at him and pulls him out of the car. Moments later a member of the gang is seen jumping into the front seat of the vehicle, before the video ends. Police say three teenagers have been charged with robbery following the incident, which took place n the Ladbroke Grove area of west London on Sunday, October 17. FreeNow is a German ride hailing app aiming to challenge Uber. It was launched in 2019 as joint venture between BMW and Daimler Mobility. However, the company has part of its roots in Britain, back in 2011, with a company called Hailo. Hailo, best known for its bright yellow taxis. The company was launched by Daimler's MyTaxi in 2016. And MyTaxi was later rebranded in 2019 to FreeNow. Like Uber and Bolt, users can order a cab - as well as a scooter - through a mobile app. It is estimated to have around 10 million users and currently operates in 100 European cities, including Madrid, Berlin, Dublin, Paris, Milan and London. It also operates in other UK cities such as Brighton, Manchester, Oxford, Nottingham and Reading. Advertisement Video shows three members of the group getting into the back of the vehicle after arriving at Southern Row, off Kensal Road, around 11.35pm. The group are heard urging the driver to allow a fourth member of the group into the private-hire vehicle. One hooded male is heard saying: 'I want four of us in the car. If I can't get four of us in the car I'm going to get angry. All my friends are coming in bro.' The video shows the same member then grabbing the driver around the neck before punching him. Another member of the group is seen opening the driver's door before the driver is pulled out of the vehicle. The dash-cam footage then shows a hooded man sitting in the driver's seat. The driver, who reported the incident to the police, claimed to officers he was threatened with a gun by the group. He was not injured during the incident, police say. Scotland Yard has launched an investigation and have now charged three people in relation to the incident. Police say three teenagers, two aged 17 and one aged 15, have been charged with robbery and attempted robbery. The teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been kept in custody ahead of an appearance at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told MailOnline: 'Three people have been charged following an alleged gunpoint robbery 'The incident happened at about 11:35hrs on Sunday, 17 October at Southern Row, London, W10. 'A taxi driver reported that four people had threatened him with a gun and stolen his car. The victim was not injured in the incident. 'Following an investigation by detectives from the Central West Command Unit three teenagers, two aged 17 and one aged 15, were charged with robbery and attempted robbery on Sunday, 24 October, 'All three have been kept in custody to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 25 October.
