An Aldi shopper has sparked outrage online after spotting a bizarre detail on a jar of honey that highlighted the product wasn't as Australian made as it seemed.

The customer purchased a 700g jar of 'Bramwells Mixed Blossom Honey' from the popular supermarket in a hurry without reading the label.

When she got home she discovered it was only made from 20 per cent Australian ingredients.

The woman shared her disappointment over the lack of Australian ingredients in the product to a popular Facebook group 'Aldi Mums' and declared she wouldn't ever purchase honey again without reading the label.
