Louis Branson, 65, was arrested and booked into the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility on Monday after police found a live grenade and drug paraphernalia in his truck  

A Florida man was found with an active grenade in his backseat after he was pulled over for having expired tags on his vehicle, with cops forced to perform a controlled detonation of the explosive. 

Louis Branson, 65, was pulled over by Flagler County Sheriff's Office on Monday for driving with expired tags when police found two glass pipes and a grenade inside his Dodge pickup truck. 

When officers asked for Branson's license, he told them there was 'an issue' and he 'needed to clear it up with Georgia.' Upon questioning, Branson admitted his license was expired since 2019. 

During an inventory search of his vehicle, officers found a grenade and two glass pipes in the driver's side door and in a storage compartment with what was believed to be
