Trump will attend World Series Game 4 in Atlanta with Georgia GOP Senate ...

Donald Trump will be in Georgia this Saturday for Game 4 of the World Series championship between the Atlanta Braves and the Houston Astros.

An adviser confirmed to DailyMail.com that Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker will join him. It will be the first time the two are seen together in public since Walker's GOP primary bid was backed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Less than six months ago he called for just six months ago over Major League Baseball's response to Georgia's new election security law.

The former president rarely makes public appearances outside of his own rallies with supporters.

He and Walker have had a close friendship for decades since Walker played on Trump's now-defunct football team.

Walker is running as a Republican to unseat Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock.

The idea for Trump to go to the game first came from New York Yankees President Randy Levine, a longtime friend of his, a source familiar told DailyMail.com.

'President Trump first learned of the invitation from his friend Randy Levine, and as a long time fan of baseball, is honored to attend the World Series on Saturday night,' the source said.

Atlanta Braves CEO Terry McGuirk told USA Today he was caught off guard by Trump wanting to attend.

'We were very surprised. Of course, we said yes,' he said.

McGuirk added that he was pleased about Trump's expected appearance because 'we are apolitical.'

'We’re open to anyone coming. It’s great that he wants to come to our game,' he said.
