The brave widow of Olympic snowboarder Alex 'Chumpy' Pullin has shared a series of precious photos of her newborn daughter and 'big sister' on social media.

Ellidy Vlug posted a handful of images showing her baby girl Minnie Alex next to the family dog Rumi, who has been a loyal companion since the tragic death of her partner in July last year.

In one of the images, Rumi can be seen wearing an adorable bib featuring the words 'big sister.'

Another photo shows Rumi 'protecting' the baby in the family home in Queensland.

Ms Vlug's 119,000 Instagram followers loved the cute montage, with many passing on their best wishes.

Earlier this week, the brother of 'Chumpy' Pullin's widow Ellidy paid tribute to his brother-in-law by driving at 2km/h with the baby niece in the car.

Dave Vlug has been a stalwart supporter of his sister since the Olympic snowboarder's sudden death in July 2020 and throughout her pregnancy.

Ellidy Pullin announced the birth of a little girl named Minnie Alex, a homage to her late father, on Wednesday afternoon.

In an Instagram story posted on Friday, Mr Vlug was seen driving his car with Ellidy and the baby to a local cafe.

'Bros driving legit 2km an hour cause he said that's what Chumpy would be doing,' Ellidy captioned the story.

'I said, nah, he'd be doing 1km [laughing emoj].'

In other words - Mr Vlug was being protective for the little girl, who was conceived with sperm retrieved from Pullin.

In an earlier post, Mr Vlug was seen nursing his newborn niece while she wears his sunglasses.

'F**k ballet, we going straight to the skate bowl,' he captioned the post.

He also paid tribute to his sister in a post.

'Here's to my sister, the most incredible person I know. After everything that has happened she still continues to tackle everything head on.'

Ellidy announced the child's birth yesterday with an image of herself lovingly gazing at the sleeping newborn: 'Our girl, born on October 25, 2021.'

Relatives and friends flocked to the new mother's Gold Coast home on Thursday with gifts.

She faces the difficult task of raising their little girl alone after Chumpy, 32, tragically drowned while spearfishing in July last year.

Among the visitors was Seven News reporter Denham Hitchcock whose Spotlight documentary about Ellidy's journey of losing Chumpy to having their baby is set to air on Sunday night.

The investigative journalist was seen carrying a bouquet of flowers as his camera crews followed him inside for an exclusive interview with the first-time mum.

It was one of the first time Mr Hitchcock has been spotted by photographers in public since he was rushed to hospital in August with heart condition - pericarditis - after getting the Pfizer jab.

He looked very fit after his health scare with the extremely rare side effect, which causes inflammation around the heart in one in around 74,000 people who receive the vaccine.

Ellidy will appear on Channel Seven's Spotlight program at the weekend.

MsPullin spoke to close friend Chloe Fisher on her Darling, Shine! podcast about her IVF treatment using Chumpy's sperm which was taken posthumously.

During the session, which aired on Thursday, Ellidy revealed she had to complete counselling session as a requirement before undergoing IVF, which dredged up painful emotions.

'They were asking questions like 'Are you going to tell the kid about its dad or are you not?', 'What are you going to do when it's asking where its dad?', 'How are you going to do pregnancy, birth and motherhood alone?' she said.

'It was such a triggering process'.

Ellidy said she had undergone two embryo implants, but the first was
