Ten purebred German Shepherd puppies have been stolen from a pet owner just a week before they were due to be microchipped.
The five-week-old puppies were snatched between 4.30pm and 8pm on Sunday from Amanda Johnston's home on Dundee Road in North MacLean, Queensland.
The thieves also allegedly tied ropes around the puppies' parents, named Sunny and Opal, so they couldn't raise the alarm.
